• Dorset Man dies after apparent ‘choking’ incident at Toby Carvery

    A MAN has died at after what is believed to be a ‘choking’ incident at a Toby Carvery restaurant in Christchurch, Dorset yesterday afternoon.

    Paramedics rushed to the scene in Lyndhurst Road, Roeshot Hill shortly before 2pm.

    However, despite the efforts of the emergency services, a man died at the scene.

    A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: “At 1.58pm on Tuesday, we received a report from the ambulance service of a sudden death of a man in his 80s at Toby Carvery in Lyndhurst Road, Christchurch.

    “There were no suspicious circumstances.”

    Witnesses claimed the man ‘choked’. One person took to social media to say the assistant manager had tried to save the man.
